FAÇADE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO END OF DAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2019
A two-week extension has been granted for the Façade Improvement Program application process due to a low number of applicants. Deadline date is extended to September 16th. Business owners in the downtown or Menekaunee area are eligible for the $10,000 match grant through the City of Marinette. A total qualifying project dollar amount of $20,000, may grant project reimbursement for a maximum grant award up to $10,000. The goal of the FIP is to encourage improvements that stress the historic significance and uniqueness of downtown structures through building restoration. Added into the downtown area are the retail/commercial areas near Menekaunee Harbor that include businesses along Ogden and Hosmer Streets. Go online to receive an application, brochure and map at the City website: www.marinette.wi.us and click Mayor’s Department, Façade Improvement Program. Price quotes for eligible project improvements and a basic plan showing proposed work must accompany the application (see FIP Brochure online). Paper applications and brochures may also be obtained from Jan Kust (715.732.5139) at the Community Development Office, City Hall 1905 Hall Avenue, Second Floor. Completion date for an approved project is no later than December 31st of 2020.
