Bethany Welch, Associate Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin – Marinette and the Continuing Education Department will offer a six week non-credit Basic Spanish class beginning April 4.
UW-Marinette Bethany Welch to offer Spanish Class for Business and Travel
Marinette, WI – Bethany Welch, Associate Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin – Marinette and the Continuing Education Department will offer a six week evening class beginning April 4 for those interested in learning to speak Spanish in daily conversation, while traveling, or for business. The beginning class will introduce basic vocabulary and expressions used in everyday situations. The foundational grammar lessons will cover how to ask and respond to simple questions, engage in simple conversations, interact in everyday situations, read a variety of basic written materials, and write simple sentences.
"There are many great reasons to start studying Spanish, for conversation, or a future vacation, or to communicate better with a coworker,” said Welch. Whatever your goals are, we all start with the basics! I'm excited to help you get started on your language learning journey."
Bethany Welch is a UW-Marinette alumna who joined the faculty in the fall of 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UW-Green Bay, where she minored in Spanish, German and Public Administration. She went on to receive a Master’s degree in Translation for the Foreign Language Literature Department at UW-Milwaukee. She teaches Spanish and the Intensive English Program for International Students at UW-Marinette.
